The world's fastest parade (55 miles per hour), themed "We Wish You A Merry BIFFmas'" begins the festivities on Friday evening at the Chuckwagon Lodge and General Store in Torrey at 7 PM and ends at the Wayne Theatre in Bicknell. All participants are encouraged to dress in their best Christmas attire as well as theme their vehicles accordingly. Be at the Chuckwagon at 6:30 PM if you want to drive your car in the parade. The Opening Night Movie is "Ernest Saves Christmas" (1988) will begin at the Wayne Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 20.
Following the screening, the "Party of the Stars" will take place at the Cafe Diablo on the west side of Torrey. Musical guests Sister Wives.
Saturday morning July 21 starts off at 9 A.M. with a Swap Meet at the Robber's Roost bookstore in Torrey. Bring some stuff to swap!
BIFF-Fans will want to mosey on over to Teasdale for the Volunteer Fire Department's Mutton & Taters Dutch oven fund raiser which begins at 12 noon on Saturday at the Teasdale Fire Department Building.
At 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, a very rare screening of "Bush Christmas" (1983), courtesy of the Austalian Film Commission, will take place. A seminar and discussion of the B movie genre will be held at the Wayne Theatre following the screening.
The prestigious Wayne Award will be given to an honored recipient just before Saturday's Closing Night screening. Wayne Theatre owners Nan and James Anderson promise that, for the 10th year, this year's award is NOT going to Wayne Newton. Be on hand to see who the lucky winner will be. They receive $5 and a homemade Pinto Bean pie. What an award!
The Closing Night Movie and our featur presentation at 7:30 is "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians (1964). It is the best bad Christmas movie ever made, period.
The BIFF "It's a Wrap Party" featuring musical guests "The Saliva Sisters" will be held at the Rim Rock Inn and Restaurant in Torrey following the movie.
